Only The Best
We were two kids from different parts of the country when we met in college—John, a Toledo boy, and Gabrielle, from a small town in New Jersey. Seven years later, we were married. Over the next 25 years, as we traveled to support our four children’s sports and visited Gabrielle’s family, we not only fell in love with each other—we fell in love with East Coast pizza.
We started this business because we’re stubborn about making pizza the “old world” way, an honest return to the authentic essence of flour, cheese, and tomatoes. It’s the kind of food that has roots. Roots that reach all the way back to Italy, where the freshest local ingredients were used with care and intention. We’ve recreated that here by developing our own Stubborn Brother flour, cheese, and sauce.
To do that, we partnered with established family businesses, a local organic flour mill, and farms across Ohio, each sharing their generational knowledge with us. This collaboration allows us to incorporate the freshest local ingredients into our original recipes. It's food that connects a community, from those who grow it, to those who prepare it, to those who gather around the table to enjoy it. Even the water we use is special filtered and molecularly replicated to match New York City’s.
We’re stubborn about many things: doing our part to support sustainability, valuing a clean approach to the environment, and above all, staying true to our food. We’re committed to offering honest value and look forward to always being a part of the surrounding neighborhood communities.
